Disney World Tickets

Walt Disney WorldWalt Disney World is divided into four separate theme parks and two water parks. Each theme park has its own theme and houses a unique set of rides and attractions. The four theme parks are the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Animal Kingdom. Each park takes roughly a full day to complete, so if you are planning a vacation it is best to plan at least four days at the theme parks, even more if you plan on revisiting a park or going to the water parks.

There is a wide variety of tickets and options to choose from when you are visiting the park, but they all boil down into two basic categories. While there are many more options to choose from most people often buy a Base Ticket or a Park Hopper Ticket. The Base Ticket lets you visit one park a day for however many days you purchased. The Park Hopper ticket lets you “hop” between parks whenever you want, allowing you to visit however many parks you want to in a single day. These two tickets can be modified to add the Disney Water parks and other options, so be sure to ask when you purchase your tickets!

Magic Kingdom is divided into six separate lands; each land is home to a wide variety of rides, attractions and shows that relate to their particular theme. Some lands have more rides than others, so it’s important that you plan your day out with the park map when you arrive to ensure you maximize your entertainment while at the park!

The first land is Main Street U.S.A. This is actually the entrance to the Magic Kingdom theme park. From here you can see directly to the Cinderella Castle. Have your camera ready because you can often find Disney characters participating with guests throughout the day! The large area is often decorated with seasonal festivities and decorations, including a large Christmas tree during the holiday seasons. Lining the street is a wide variety of shops, offering you souvenirs, pastries and even large pieces of candy. Here you can buy all this fun filled collectables to take home to family and friends. At the end of the night Main Street U.S.A. is where the parades take place.

The second land is Adventureland; here the theme is exploration of foreign lands. Walt Disney had a knack for exploring the world and bringing back ideas and creative thoughts for the theme parks. The area has attractions such as the Jungle Cruise, a fun adventure into the jungle that brings you face to face with animals and Indians as these animatronics come to life! Here you can also find the famous and popular Pirates of the Caribbean, where you ride through the strange and comical tail of the Black Pearl! Adventurelands theme looks like a collage of Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and features shops and attractions that let you explore the far reaches of the earth!

Frontierland is probably the most unique of all the lands. Here you are introduced to with Wild West in fun and exciting ways! Come face to face with Cowboys and Indians as you venture into this red and rocky oasis! Explore the rivers of America in a ferryboat or bounce to the tune of the country bears! The two prime attractions at this location are Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain. Thunder Mountain is a fun filled rollercoaster in the form of a train make a daring dash across these treacherous tracks! When you are done head over to Splash Mountain and cool off from the Florida heat in a whacky adventure that ends in a large drop and a sudden splash!

Fourth on the list is the Liberty Square where patriotic America meets Disney in a clash of fun and history combined! Here you can find two main attractions that have quickly become fan favorites for most Magic Kingdom enthusiasts! The Hall of Presidents introduces you to our nation’s history through animatronics. All fifty presidents come alive to tell the tail of our forefathers. After you have visited the Hall of Presidents head over to the Haunted Mansion where you can come face to face with 99 comical ghosts! This ride is not intended to be scary, however some children may find it to be so, enter at your own risk!

The fifth land is Fantasyland, Walt Disney’s favorite area and most prized land. Here you can find all the Disney classics as well as Cinderella’s Castle, the icon of Disney and the Magic Kingdom. The theme is set to look like a medieval festival, and here you can find all the Disney classics including the popular princesses. Attractions here include Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a small World, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, the timeless carrousel of Prince Charming and the Mad Tea Party! Live shows are hosted throughout the day on a stage in front of the castle, be sure to listen because you can hear it from everywhere in the park!

The last location is Tomorrowland; here you can find the future, today! Walt Disney was always looking to the future, and he figured he would bring it to you before it got here! This land can be found by looking for the massive planets orbiting the tower located in the center of Tomorrowland. The two major rides in this land are Space Mountain and the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Space Mountain is an indoor rollercoaster that sends you through the dark at high speeds! Above you stars and planets whizz by as you make your way through space. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger spin recruits you into the battle against Zurg as he battles you with aliens! This great adventure gives you a score; can you bear your friends and family?
